Default My Super 1991 Honda....?

Hey gals I just bought a 1991 Honda. Anybody need a ride...HAHAHAAHAA......I also have $800 in my savings account earning 2.5% interest, which is higher than the average. Please one gal at a time. I have no game but I thought I'd just flaunt my success. I'm 21 and a janitor at my local high school.

Sam:Unfortunate for you, I am not a girl, but can talk about cars.So that you can continue to flaunt your new wheels do these things:1. Have timing belt and water pump checked. A '91 Honda has about a 90K or 7 year service interval for timing belt. The belt drives the water pump. Depending on your geographic location and who does the service, this is about a $400 job (with pump and coolant and several seals/gaskets), There goes 1/2 your savings! If this belt breaks, your interference engine can bend valves and that job is about $1,200! 2. Change all the fluids: engine oil, brake, radiator, transmission (auto or manual). And if you want to be really complete, power steering.3. Check front and rear brake shoes. If worn you can do a cheap job and just replace pads/shoes (not recommended) but it will save the rotors/drums from being scored.4. Change/check fuel and air filter, positive crankcase valve, distributor cap/rotor, wires, and plugs.5. Get a service manual and some tools and learn to do it yourself. You will save a bunch of money and develop pride and satisfaction in your skills. It is evident from your post that you are looking to improve your image and self-esteem. Learning mechanic skills will do both of these for you. If you are talented and hard working, you can even go to school to earn ASE status. Technicians with these certifications behind their names are the best and brightest. Finally, do not put down your current work as a janitor. Any work that is honest and allows you to pay your own way is worthwhile. But look for ways to improve and better yourself. I think you can!Wishing you the best,Marc
