What's the best type of tires for a 4 door honda accord?

I suggest Michelin Symmetry. It's probably what came on the car originally, and if by some strange chance it was equipped with something else, you won't go wrong putting a set of Michelin's on the car.

Go ahead on with some Nitto NeoGens. These are some nice all-weather performance tires for smaller cars like Civics and Cavaliers and Evos. They will compliment the handling of a Civic very nicely.

I've always gotten the best value from Michelins. They're worth a few bucks extra. Tires are a critical decision, so don't cheap out.

Dunlop is my favorite, Michelin is good too. Stay with the tire size recomended in the owners manual because 1) a tire with a larger radius or diameter will throw the speedometer off. 2) a wider tire will decrease fuel mileage. Honda builds the most reliable car on the market, a test of that car with several other types of tires has probably already been tested and tried by the factory team that designed it. They put the correct tire size in the owners manual for this reason. Would you want to put the wrong type of oil in the engine? Why change a proven design? The engineers that figured it all out knew what they are doing. I would not (from my experience) try to out guess them when they arrived at thier assesment with computers, state of the art testing, and slide rules,,,etc.

The tires depend on what do you want them for, if you want them for a rainy road, an icy road, to run your car, it depends...The best brand is the Continental... Michelin are also good
