You need a new or rebuilt power steering pump.

None of the pulleys should have any play in them. Try to tighten it up. If you cant then it needs to be replaced.

is left or right(considering your car may have crossways engine) or is in and out (pulley and shaft into/out of p/s pump?) a little bit of in and out play is normal. why are you asking? do you have a power steering problem? if everything is functioning ok, then dont worry. check fluid, then leave it alone. if you have a specific power strg. problem, then ask about that. but a little in/out shaft and pulley play is normal.

the bearing on the pulley is likely worn and may need replacing.
