Clicking noises could be anything. My first thought would be to check your oil level. Has the oil been changed recently? Does the engine even have any oil? You may have a valve going bad. Might be a u-joint. Best thing would be to have a mechanic look at it.

It sounds to me as if you have a front wheel drive car that has a problen with its' C.V. joints. These can go for a while the clicking just getts louder but it is very dangerous because if it goes out you will lose control of the car because the tire will either fold up under the car or com completely loose. It is fairly expencive to fix but if the car runs and is in pretty good shape I would get it fixed

did you check the oil? do that first. if your oil is o.k. it could be your oil pump is starting to fail. it's not sending enough oil to all the engine parts. have it checked out by a mechanic you can trust.

is is clicking on turns? if so your car is front wheel drive and it could be a CV joint. they are about $150-300 per side to repair. there are 2 of them.

I had a clicking noise while driving my '94 Honda Civic Hatchback when turning the wheels to the right or left and it turned out to be CV joints. Replacing them wasn't too expensive but make sure they don't only replace the CV boot because eventually the whole CV joint needs replacing. Good luck.
