you can spend a few g's worth of just bolt ons to bring it up a good 75 hp but then your car would burn out quicker. I say ten g's will upgrade some engine parts, tranny, turbo and maybe nos. yeah, that'll put you up around 150 - 200 hp more than stock

a civic will never really kickass.. this is not bias.. as i love civics.. preludes.. s2000s ... the main fault is not the engine or weight.. but instead the fact that it is front wheel drive.. while modern day civics have certain ways of rendering the disadvantages of FWD, such as applying mroe power to the outside wheel in order to dissolve understeer.. they will never truley fix the problem.. so please do not waste money on trying to make a civic kick ass.. there is not a lot ofpotential in that car.. i would say try and find a Nissan 240sx.. or ifyou have the money and time.. perhaps and older rx-7.. and old supra migh be fun.. aim for RWD..i woudl say the 240sx. year 91-94 i think.. those are the twin cam models. 4 valves per cyl. good torque and decent hp.. very easy to mod..

Good example. There is a civic right now that has over $18k put into it. It's nicknamed the Bullet. There isnt too many ppl on the roads that will step up to it. It all depends on what you want to do to it. This guy has thousands of dollars put into his car. Are you willing to spend that much bc you will have to on a civic.

There is not enough information to answer this question. What kind of Civic are we talking about? What year? What trim? What is your definition of Kick ***? Do you want a fast car in drag racing? Do you want an Auto-X car? Do you want a track car? Do you want a show car? There are many questions that remain. Do you want a naturally aspirated engine or a forced induction engine? Do you care if the car last one hour or one year? Do you care how it looks or just how it runs. That being said one of the best platforms for a Civic that I worked on was the EG (92-95). They were light and easy to swap. 10 Grand and you got yourself an EG with a B18C5 (DC5 Integra Type-R) drivetrain. Then another 5 grand for breaks and suspention upgrades.

the cheapest way to add a decent amount of power it to go with ol' faithfull, nitrous oxide.... its definitely not the best way to add power but like drinking, is alright in moderation... the factory"stock" engine will not be able to handle prolonged use and definitely not be able to handle big sprays... but if you wanna go this route, be warned, and follow the instructions and recommended spray nozzles, look to spend around $400-$600 or maybe less, especially if you can find a used kit... good luck p.s. "kick ass" is a little bland, so i assumed you meant power wise, but if you meant look and over all total package... that's a different ball game
