I dont have an accord, but I do know that the best thing you can do to it performance wise is drop in an H22. If not the easiest things you can do is install a Cold Air Intake, performance header and a mandrel bent exhaust. Oh yea, if it's an auto then do a 5spd swap first.

There are lots of options you have. Headers, Cams, Machine work, Exhaust systems, Intake systems, ECU reprogramming, etc....First, to keep it simple, I would start with an Intake system. AEM cold air intake's are the best. They make great products and they stand behind them. Next I would highly suggest a "Stainless-Steel" Cat-back exhaust system. This bolts to your catalytic converter and runs to the back of your car. Just make sure to go with a quite exhaust system that is not too large of a diameter at the exhaust tip. You can also install a Random Technology High-flow Catalytic Converter. Now this doesn't increase power too much but is a good maintenance tip.All of the products mentioned above increase horsepower, saves gas, providing your not speeding all the time... LOL..and are available in smog legal applications. If you're looking for even more power you can have the ECU (computer) changed out for a high performance one. Now doing this will usually create smog issues (California...etc) and increase gas consumption. However, it can make your car much faster but with some drawbacks. As I said before, there are a lot of options out there and I could go on forever.... It really depends on how far you would like to go.......

If you are serious about modifying your car then visit these two sites. accordtuner.com cb7tuner.com two BEST sites out there for accords. american musle isnt all its cracked up to be if you want proof try flowbenching a newer mustang cobra head and the head off of a rsx-s. you will see that the 4 banger head flows about as much as the cobras head does. that is just the begining on how much better designed these motors are, not trying to start a fight with you american muscel guys, in fact I will more than likley start a up a v-8 trans am project when I graduate. anyway I got a 94 accord that I swaped and 5.0 mustang gt couldent pull on me the other day. h22 isnt the best way to go, but It is commonly done and isnt very hard. there is a guy who does h22 swaps in one working day.

Check out gen5alive.com...tell then Allie sent you!Join the forum, and you'll join a family that will tell you ALL about your car, only dedicated to the 5th gen accord =)I'm on it, and i can't tell you how much everyone has helped me out. It's an awesome forum to join! Also, the best thing you can do is put an H22A engine in your car. It's a prelude engine, but it does wonders in an Accord.
