Its an accord! If you want a race car, buy a race car. Oh wait you could put a 4" diameter exhaust pipe on it and make it sound like a lawn mower. Oh and then a huge spoiler, you know to keep that back end down when that Accord is zooming down the highway with blinding speed. Hahahaha.

You can mod the electronic controls to increase the kick. It's easy. Open it up, to the far left and at the top, you'll see several gray dots. These dots connect to electronics that place limits on how much power your vehicle can produce. Scrap them off with a knife and you'll remove the limitations from the manufacturer.

Suck, bang, push, blow. Thats an engines function in a nutshell. If you approach a vehicles output as a system, you can get the best bang for your buck. Get a cold air induction, high flow air filter, engine management chip, and a high flow exhaust. Make sure everything is in tune. I would replace plugs, caps, rotor, all filers and maybe plug wires if warranted. Those are the realtively low price bolt ons you can do yourself. Start reading the aftermarket import magazines and learn where to go from there.

Work with what you got I say. My first car was a 4cyl Pinto, and when I was done with that car, it had almost 200hp. I am not a Honda man myself, but am always happy to help someone interested in cars. Cheap horsepower tricks...hmmm. I would say do a filter and maybe a cold air intake setup. Then maybe a header and hi flow exhaust system. These are, relatively speaking, low-buck, and can net you around 30hp. That may not sound like much, but when you only have 120hp to start with, thats 25% more power. Good luck, have fun, and above all else, be safe.

try a mod chip and open up the exhaust with headers. for your transmission you could also get a high stall converter.
