you have to bring the radio to your honda dealer, along with your title or registration and an ID. The dealer will use the serial number on the radio to get the code, They need your Id and title/reg for identification purposes because it is an anti theft radio. If you cant get the radio out yourself youll have to bring your car to the dealer and theyll take it out and get you your code, but there will be a labor charge for that.

No need to take the radio outHold 1 and 6 at the same time then turn the radio on, and 8 digit serial number with display, write that down, go to the honda dealer with proof that you own the car and that serial number. Enter the code that they give you, problem solved.

I just posted this for another person, but I think you'll find the information useful. It amazes me how many people can get their facts mixed up.On any older Honda, the radio needs to come out of the vehicle to get the serial number off the back. The 1 and 6 trick only works on 2002 and up. Once you have the serial number, you can call the Honda dealer and get the code. Most times, when a Honda is new, the tech inspecting the vehicle will put the radio code on a sticker and put it on the side of the glove box. It's a 5 digit number, so it might be there. The serial number is 8 digits. Hope this helps. One other thing to mention, if you have tried to imput the wrong code more than 10 times, you'll need to unplug the battery and let the car sit. The anti-theft locks down after 10 un-successful attempts so you need to starve the radio of battery power to reset it.
