I have a 1991 Honda CRX. When you turn the key, the engine starts, but it doesn't turn over.?
It sounds like it wants to "catch", but doesn't. I have a battery charger on and it is showing that the battery is full. Any ideas?This is an automatic transmission.

Yes. The simplest and quickest way to diagnose that vintage Honda is to substitute a known good distributor in place of your distributor. But remanufactured Honda distributors aren't cheap (maybe $450), and they sometimes won't work in certain Hondas.

The engine can't start if it doesn't turn over. If what you are hearing is the starter turning over but not catching you may have striped the starter gear or the flywheel.

You probably don't need to replace the entire distributor system. I had a 91 crx si and I replaced the ignitor which supplies the spark and it fired right up. It actually went out on me twice while I owned it. The complete distributor is about 400 new but you probably don't need the whole thing. Get a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for about 20 bucks. Its money well spent. It will help you locate and troubleshoot common problems.

gear on the flywheel, and plus the engine has to turn over before it will start.
