I also had a hard time deciding between the corolla and civic. Both cars seem to be pretty similar in respect to tech specs, fuel efficiency, and affordability. Like the others mentioned, it all boils down to aesthetics. I think the car you drive should be an extension of your personal expression and character. It should be something that makes you feel happy and make driving more enjoyable. With that said, I chose the civic lx sedan 07, for its new sleek and sophisticated body shape and the it's chic interior design. Just looking at the new civic makes me smile, and honestly I don't think I could say the same for a corolla.

After buying a mediocre Saturn, I was sure my next car would be a Honda Civic. However, I happened to have a Corolla rental car for a few weeks, and when I test drove the Civic, it felt like a tin can next to the Corolla! Lately however, Toyota has been having quality issues. So... : / I really don't know what to tell you.

Agood car is known by the strenght of the engine.A honda is more durable.Am using one now.I had used a toyota.A honda would do the miles and get better.Take a time out to see the under of a honda and see how neatly parked it is-emphasis on the exhaust packaging, protecting the engine; and compare to toyota.

Both are very good cars. But, many sources say that Honda beats Toyota in this case. The Corolla is dated and the Civic has a frsh design. The Civic also has a hybrid option. The Corolla isn't a bad car, but I think the Civic beats it overall.

I had a 99 corolla and I put 130,000 miles in 3 years. I had no major problems with the car at all. I would go with that if you don't mind the headlights that you can't turn off.

Be good 2 Yourself...Seriously...Go & check out the Honda Element...Yeah...that 'ugly' square box...lol.It's the 'Box' the Scion comes in...lol. Took me 4 mnths 2 find a 'slightly' used one. You never even see them in the Honda newspaper spread-ads. That's cause they can't keep them in stock!! Plus they are 'Made' in Ohio! That's all that particular Honda plant makes. You can't 'pry' mine away from me!...lol There is even 'Owners' Element websites/clubs...online.....started independently from Honda Corp. So, yeah...check it out....I did because so many people kept telling me how ugly they are!...Now I'm asking them to tell me..'What else don't you like?'...lol
