Well even though I like both cars I like the Corolla better I think the Civic is more a lower level vehicle compared. It really depends on the year. I owned several Corollas in the 80s and they were really fine cars. I think the Camry is a better car now and we own one now. I always thought of a Civic as a lesser car than say a Prelude or an Accord by far. An Accord is more like a Corolla to compare for value. A 2007 Civic is probably a fine car compared since Preludes are dead but in my opinion I think a Corolla is better for what it is worth.Really depends though are you buying a hybrid????The Civic coupe and Corolla are close to the same price it depends I guess there are lots of options.

When it comes to cars you need to go out-check them over and decide for yourself. If you go by what the majority of people say on a message board you are gonna be disapointed. They are both great cars, if you are interested in buying one i would suggest getting out to several car lots and checking them both out. Decide for yourself. All you will get on here is people who own toyotas saying toyota is best and the same with the honda owners. Really, if you are looking for a good economy car you cant go wrong with either.

well so far everyone who answered this question is correct.. the better value of a car is the toyota as they will last for a long time. They aren't the most comfortable or stylish looking vehicles but for overall expenses beat out the Honda 10 to 1. Now the Honda can also be a long laster if you properly maintain it. But the Toyota should outlast the honda by over 100,000 miles.. The honda is more stylish and can be retrofitted to many aftermarket body kits. The honda motor has more power but the Toyota is a stronger lasting motor. Your honda will be on its 2nd or 3rd engine before that toyota motor kicks the bucket. It is not unheard of to see a toyota with over 500,000 miles on it. and still driving great. Both are a good vehicles but I would take the toyota..

I think you're comparing apple to orange... It's best to go to the dealers and check both of them out. If you do a good maintenance on the car, any one of those 2 would last for a very long time. So the question would be: which one looks nicer? The answer is up to you...

The Civic is a much better car. It starts in a higher class than the Corolla does. The Civic is larger, faster, and has better ergonomics and styling. They get the same fuel economy, and you can expect the same reliability from a Toyota and a Honda. In a comparison test of 2003 Econo Sedans, the Civic won 1st place and the Corolla got 5th. Check it out for your self.
