The color of your car has nothing to do with the cost of your insurance. I was an insurance underwriter for a major company and we didn't care if your car was red. We did care about how much it would cost to repair and whether it was a car that was likely to be stolen or if it was one that was likely to be used in a way that would increase the chances of a claim.

Despite urban legend telling you "Red cars cost more to insure", there is no truth to that. The insurance doesn't care, or ask, what color your car is.http://www.snopes.com/autos/law/redcars.asp

I don't think color makes a difference to your insurance premium, but the number of doors will. Generally, a 2 door coupe is more costly to insure than a 4 door sedan . Color may be a determination when it comes to resale value, as I don't think beige is a very popular color in the used car market.
