That is the check engine light. On new cars it usually means a malfunction in the emissions system. The first thing I would check is the gas cap. Is your gas cap is missing or loose your check engine light will come on.If that doesn't cure it take it to the dealer. Most emission problems are covered by the cars warranty for 100,000 miles.M

The check engine light is the one you drawing shows. This is probably not any issue if it only happens once in a while, and it goes away after you next refuel the car. The reason it occasionally goes on is that one of the emissions controls on the car is simply a tight-fitting gas gap. If the gas cap wasn't tightened completely last time it was fueled, the light will go on.When you are fueling the car, twist the gas cap hard enough that it makes a few scratchy-click sounds. Then it is completely tight. This alls sounds rather cavalier given how important the "check engine" light seems, but if you call the dealer, they will verify that it goes on for the above reason.
