Default PLEASE HELP? me if you know about cars?

I have a 1995 Honda del sol - and 2 weeks ago someone broke the window and apparently thay wanted to stole my car. But they couldn't and they broke the part where the key goes, so the key barely still fits and turns all the lights on but the engine does not start, so what's wrong with the car does anybody knows??

your ignition could just be screwed up and need a new one. some of the wiring could have got damaged to complete the circuit it would need to be replaced

Sounds like they broke the ignition cylinder. Tow it to a honda dealership, they have to replace it.

your ignition needs to be replaced dont go to the dealer though they will charge you a grip!! get the part at pep boys or whatever auto part store and do it your self its pretty easy or do it at a shop that is bar certified but not the dealer

The key part is probably not turning the switch on the opposite side their is a ignition switch it has 2 screws holding it in you can basically unscrew those two screws and use a flat head and turn it and your car will start all the key does is unlocks the steering will also turns that switch.
