Your going to have to do new internals like pistons and rings and better cam and valves. Lighten everything like your pulleys and your car with carbon fiber body parts. Use higher octane fuel also.

Add a turbo or blower and don't tell anyone. That is going to be hard to accomplish, especially considering the engine you have to work with.Even if you beef everything up, and then strip the car down to nothing but body panels, a seat, and an engine, you are asking for alot.

Have it towed by a jet airplane. You're not gonna get a prelude in the 13s.

Same random advice... Bolt-ons, higher compression... blah blah blah... Just ram a turbo or a blower into it and be happy.

Preludes run high 14's low 15's depending on the driver, stock. You bought the wrong Prelude for speed. The base model is better at taking mods than the SH. The SH is mostly used for autocross. You can easily get into 13's by getting Porting your IM, It's been proven that the stock IM is just as good as any aftermarket IM with a good port and polish.Get some beefier cams. Dual stage valve springs, lightweight retainers, valves. Upgrade you're fuel injectors and you're good to go. You don't even need to touch the bottom end. You could if you want to. You could also get a VTEC controller, you can time your VTEC to kick in at lower RPM, but over time will kill the motor. It's pretty pointless to strip the car down, the SH is the heaviest of preludes. And for each 100lbs, you probably lose 1/10th of a second. Not a big deal. Have you taken out your backseat? All of it together probably weighs no more than 30lbs combined. Check out Preludepower.com and Honda-tech.com. They're doing some pretty amazing stuff with 5gs.
