how to install aftermarket gauges on a 2004 HONDA CIVIC?

There are many options, you can add a gauge pod to many parts of the car including the "A" pillar, on top of the dash, or in the dash, most larger tachometers have an option to get a pod to mount to the dash.

are you talking about the face or the whole cluster? if it's the gauge face, you'll have to take out the cluster and put the face on. but be very careful not to break the needle. but either way, i guess you have to take the cluster out.
