back up? if ya tap on distributor cap it starts but doesnt stay running but for a second what do i do to fix this problem

sounds like you need a new distributor cap or a new coil if its in the distributor cap but to do this there should be a few screws or clips that are hooked or screwed to the distriubtor and are holding the cap on it should be as easy as unscrewing or unsnaping and moveing the spark plug wires from the old cap to the new cap and putting them on the same place and then just put the new cap on while your in there you should get a new rotor and that just pops on

sounds like your ignition coil. do a omh test. if you don' t know how take it to the shop.

Had this happen in a 91 accord. It was the Coil.
