Default What has been the best and most reliable model year for Honda?

Since 1990, what year(s) would you say has been the best for the Honda Civic? What year produced the most quality car?

I would say 2000. That was the last year of the 6th generation Civic, a fairly simple machine that has evolved from the front double wishbone architecture used long before. It handled excellently and could be tuned to handle even better. 2000's are no different from their 1999 counterparts, but its just odd to say 1999. The D-series engines had no problems, with or without vtec.Of course, I also think the current 8th gen is a lot better quality, but I don't know about reliability as it is too soon to tell. It probably is too.

As a current owner of a 2000 civic. I really like the look interior and exterior. For some reason the other years just did not interest me...even the 2007 appears odd. The civic is meant to appeal to all ages and genders. I have 160,000 miles on the car and its still get an overall 36 mpg.
