Default d15b v-tec not connected?

d15b i just got the and just discovered that three plugz arround the v tec silinoid are not connected to anywhere and there are no whires for the plugs comuing from the harnes. i think that the engine was swaped but not the ECU or harnest obvioulsy.... My question is, is my v teck always on or off since its not connected?

The vtec is off, it should be throwing a check engine light.

it is always off. You need to get a vtec ecu like a p28 and it will run soo much better. You will need a obd1 if it is 92-95 or a obd2 if it is 96 or up. if its 91 or earlier you will need a obd0 to obd1 adapter and then a p28 ecu. Check on ebay for a great price

it doesn't really make any difference whether your VTAK is connected or not...it does next to nothing.

to determine if ur vtec is on or not, use a piece of metal, e.g. blade of a penknife, test the sollenoid for magnetism, if there is, vtec is on, if there isnt vtec is off
