My mother has a 2003 and she likes it. It is a solid and reliable car. Fuel economy is good for an SUV, bad for a car (low to mid 20s overall). The 4WD version eats up tires very quickly, but it is decent in the snow. Drives nicely, but it is no sports car. Rear seats fold down and you can haul a lot of stuff.

I own a 2003 CRV EX and it is very smooth and what I like most is it has a timing chain.
