Default would an air temperature sensor cause the check engine light to go on?

someone stole my aem cold air intake from my 2000 civic ex. And they also cut all the hoses as well as the air temperature sensor from my car ever since then my check engine light is on. I only have a black and red wire from what used to be my air temperature sensor. what part do I need to fix my car. I appreciate any help with this. Thx

you need to replace everything that was taken. your car computer is not getting the signals it needs so the check engine light comes on.

i own a repair shop, and that will set it off,but you can purchase the new end and put back on it,,there color coded so there's no way you can wire it wrong but that will set it off, once its re-wired back up it should be OK you may have to have the light erased off but it will clear off of it,,good luck,,id have a good alarm system put on it also,it might save the next cool air system you put on it.,i hope this help,s.

yes, because your check engine light runs off of your sensors.
