my wiring harness isnt working right... my colloing fans are hardwired to my battery right now and my gauges dont work at all, only my speedometer.... how can i jump my cluster powersource to another point without draining my battery? or can i just wire it to my alternator? is it even possible? ive never tried it.

The fans are an easy fix. Re-wire them with a thermal shut off switch (they turn on and off based on the coolant temperature), just like aftermarket electric fans use. The gauges are another issue. If you don't know about the electrical system on your vehicle, the first thing you need is a wiring schematic. You can find them in most service maunals for your vehicle. You can get the switch, and a manual at the automotive section of buddyandoscars.com. Factory vehicle wiring harnesses can be a nighmare if you're not familiar with them, and if you hot-wire the cluster to the alternator, bypassing the fuse block and resistors (both on the circut board AND the ones hidden in the wiring), you'll have the makings for a good CRX powered bar-b-que if you get a short.
