when i turn the wheel as far as it can go ( right or left ) let,s say, parellel park or, turn sharp into a driveway, it feels like something is grinding more like a winding noise. when new it would make these ( slow, sharp turns smoothly, no resistance.) Is this lubrication or maybe something worn out ??

damaged cv joints make clicking when turning round corners. the problem here is the wheel bearing which is in Honda CRV comes in a hub, so you need to change the complete hub and preferably both sides.

Two possible things that come to mind. Your power steering pump could be low on fluid or just plain giving out. If that's not it then check cv joints.

Have your CV joints checked

If it is a whining noise you are hearing then check your power steering pump fluid. If the fluid appears to be OK, you will need to replace the pump. Recommend you take it to one of the auto parts stores that advertise assistance and have them look at it. It is a free service and fairly reliable.

This is a very common problem as I work for Honda service.You need to change the fluid in the rear differential and then the noise will go away.Trust me on this one. I get this complaint every day.

Also have your powersteering checked... the motor might need to be replaced
