My car engine check light has been on for about two days now with the above problem.My electrician is suspecting the cannister vent solenoid, but i read somwhere that it could last the lifetime of a car.

P0450 is "Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Malfunction".P0453 is "Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input".I would look at the P0453 problem first and check the input voltage, not sure, what it is on your car, I guessing 5 volts DC.If, the input voltage is correct, Replace the Sensor. I not promise this fix, but, 95% of the time it will if the input voltage correct.The Canister is a Charcoal Filled Tank. It absorbs Fumes from the Fuel Tank (Hydrocarbons I think). So, it could have a clogged line, damaged Tank, or need Replaced. I would not think it really need replaced, but, I guess they can malfunction. Go with the Sensor as your main Focus. It may also be a Purge Valve!!
