It depends what categorie but overall the Honda line has the highest resale value percentage wise. Hondas have the highest fuel economy and safety ratings overall as well. In 2006 Honda had both Motor Trends Car and Truck of The Year. The most recent industry report shows that of the 47 most reliable vehicles, 39 of them are from Japanese manufacturers. You can easily find more luxurious vehicles, faster vehicles, and vehicles with more options. You can not find a better vehicle as far as dollar for dollar value and overall cost of ownership. Speaking from the standpoint of someone with years of automotive sales experience, it is hard to go wrong with a Honda. You don't have to take my word for it. Check out any Consumer Reports or Intellichoice publications. No matter what anyone says, I am employed by a large multi franchise dealership with numerous lots. I have seen more Hondas come in for nothing more than mere oil changes with 300,000-400,000 miles on them than any other auto from any other manufacturer. I can count the domestics I have seen with that many miles on my fingers. One final note... the 2006 Indy 500 was run with all Honda engines and temperature wise it was the hottest year on record. Guess what? Not one engine failure this year.
