Fill plug is located on the side of the 5 speed gear box. Do not remove the drain plug until you know what and where the fill plug is. And I remove the fill plug completely before draining out the old gear oil. YES gear oil? read and follow owners manual specifications for correct fluid to refill the transmission.

There will be a filler plug on the side of the transmission. Unscrew it and place your little finger inside ahd if you can touch the oil then there is enough. Look to see if any oils is on the case or near it to see if there may be a leak. If none then the oil probably is Ok. It does not get used up . It can only leak out.
