Brand spanking new ,call the zone office of the Co. that made it (they list them in the phonebook) You buy it used and it came either with no warranty or limited warranty, well, here is what I have seen done the owner went to the finance Co. and complained that they would give it to them if the dealer didn' t fix the problem so the lending co. leaned on the dealer to fix the problem or they would no longer finance nor would any other lending co. deal with them,so the dealer fixed the problem

the best thing to do, is find a local parts store,i.e. NAPA, autozone or murrays, and ask the counterpeople who they would recommend. they have a fairly good idea of who will do quality work, at a fair price. more often than not, the first time you go to a mechanics shop, you wont get the best deal. its always a good idea to shop around. compare price quotes from a few different shops. and if money is a problem, avoid the dealership.

If it is a brand new vehicle it has a warranty! Warranty covers everything that was not caused by your "stupidity", like jumping ditches (as seen on tv), -hitting stationary objects,- and driving without oil in engine! Not a one of these things has a legitimate excuse! Though you might "come back on the garage", - if the oil was just changed, and they didn't tighten the plug all the way - and it fell out! .... Get in touch with "customer service at Mfrs. headquarters, -- if nothing there, then get in touch with state agency that controls auto dealerships! If still no satisfaction, talk to a lawyer competent in "auto warranty lawsuits". Somewhere along the line it will be determined that it is cheaper to fix it, and you aren't going to be "blown off!" State, or US distributer may ask you to take it to a "better dealership" that is competent to take care of your problem and "fix it!"
