HelloI have a Honda Accord EX L 2006. Bought last year november. It has 9200 miles on it. Couple of days before, it started showing a Maintainence Diagnostic indicator with the Code 'B 1'.I need to know the following1. What doest it mean?2. Do i have spend much on fixing it? How much a dealer would charge? 3. What are all the services the dealer will perform for 'B 1'?4. Does honda accord EX show this once in every 10k miles approx?5. It is mostly an oil change and a tire rotation. also an inspection of belts hoses and air filter. shouldnt be more than $40 or so.

It's only critical if you want to maintain your warranty. Failure to do the regular maintains could revoke your warranty if an issue should arrive. The dealership will pull up your maintains history and it it's not kept up to date could cause you grief. For the the amount the dealership charges it's a deal compared to a repair you'd have to pay for out of your own pocket by not having regular maintains done.

It is just the service reminder and it is due for what is called a "minor service"4 cylinder engine will come on every 10,000 miles V-6 engine will come on every 7,500 milesAt my dealer it is $99.95 for the minor service which also includes oil and filter change and tire rotation. We also inspect and adjust the brakes along with lubrication of all window channels and full vehicle inspection.I think it would be advisable to bring it to your local dealer for this service as it gives them a chance to inspect the car while it is under warranty for other potential issues.B.T.W. As per the manual in severe service intervals you should actually replace the oil and filter every 5,000 miles and then do the next sequential service every 10,000 miles. Basicly service every 10k with an oil change in between
