I bought a 07 civic Si. I would like to know the proper way to break her in.

the tomkat methodwhen starting car - allow 30 seconds for oil to completely cover--before putting stress on enginedo not punch it out to 60 all the timedrive like little old person - every once in a while - push it out to speeddo not set cruise control for long periods - but vary the speed +5-5 back and forthafter the first 500 miles - she's yours - be good

Yeah warm engine up in Park for 15 minutes no racing of engine highway don't go over 55 mph change oil n filter after 500 miles ..

You should drive it for at least 4-8k miles before really stomping the gas.

modern engines are built with no break-in period in mind. have fun with the new car

go about 500-1000 miles of normal driving. usually around cruising speeds

Open the glovebox. There should be an owner's manual there. Read it. Pay particular attention to the maintenance schedule. Have fun with your new beauty.
