Could just be a bug in the electronics. My 1993 Prelude had a problem with the selection of the vents and would often get stuck on the defrost position until I had pushed the other buttons several times. If it blows hot into the cabin, then the door that channels the hot air is probably stuck open.

I also have the 1992 accord in Bangalore Indiathere can be the following reasons.1.The cable control installed on the firewall may be jammed de link it pull and push several times to see if it is free and link it back again.2.Check to see if the thermostat is in working order maybe it is blocked or not functioning.3.Check your fuse box maybe the relays are not working4. check your vents to see if they are not jammed5.check the rubber hose linkages to the heating and ventilation system 6.Finally check the gas in your AC Compressor7.Check your Ac Control Panel inside the dash board maybe some diode or ic is malfunctioning.
