...any recalls ? My daughter has a 1997 honda civic dx and has had electrical problems fixed numerous times. Now she can't play the factory installed cd player,turn the windshield wipers and the signal light on at the same time. The cd player will stop playing and the speedometer hand goes haywire.

Not to my knowledge do they have electrical problems and i dont beleive there have been recalls on them

thats what i have and i have never had any type of electrical problems. although, when i bought my car i didn't have a stock cd player. i had some other piece of junk, but thats the cd player itself, not the car.

I do remember hearing about the electrical starter switch, or starter something. I have a 2000 civic myself, and no problems yet. I did look up re-calls and I would also have your local mechanic check for you as well. You night have to have things re-wired all together . Sounds like someone messed it up, or things are short circuiting.
