Default Can I get a spare Honda key made at Home Depot or do I have to go to the dealership?

I have an 04 Honda Odyssey needing a spare key. Where could I go for the cheapest option?

i think you have to go to the dealership...sometimes the keys have a special code attached with the key...that way not just anyone can make a copy

You have to go to the Dealer. Also, the key cost $40.

Most car keys have microchips in them, especially if your car has an alarm with a killswitch or keyless entry. You will probably have to go to the dealership.

If the key has a computer chip on it (anti theft resistor) you need to go to Honda. Otherwise Home Depot can make a Honda key that would look just like an original key and work perfectly.

Call first and see if they have the "blanks" Some have them but charge you extra.
