Hello. I would tell you that you don't go wrong with Honda. That's why they are expensive. I own a Honda and you can tell the difference if you try same class cars of other makes. Besides that Honda gives a ridiculously amount of miles per gallon. My Honda Civic 2002 gives me between 350 and 400 miles each tank. the tank holds 13.1 gallons, but i add only 11 everytime i go to the gas station. Do the math.Recently there was a first page (huge) article in the San Diego newspaper about why american cars suck (not all american cars are bad, but...). The article explained detailed the fact that american cars are usually cheap because they tend to use cheap materials. If yuo buy a Honda, give it the maintenance it needs. It'll last forever. You are welcome.

U didnt specify if u are asking about a NA Civic, Japan or Euro. If its Euro id advise you to go for a Focus Zetec instead. Its a great performing car, has a huge customer base, well built and drives and handles better than anything in its class. As for America, the Civic probably is a good choice given the competition

Without doubt they are the coolest looking cars on the road right now, not including silly priced super cars. The fact is, every single car for sale these days is as competent as any other. They all have similar performance, safety, economy etc. There is nothing to choose between them, apart from looks. The one drawback I have heard about the Civic, is the gearbox change is not as good as others in its class. Try it out, and if the gearbox is OK for you, go for it.

I don't own one but I sell them and I think they are really great cars. I'm seriously considering purchasing one myself. They get great gas mileage 30 mpg city and 40 highway, even more if you go with the Hybrid. I like the previous generations exterior better but the interior is much improved. Honda engineers moved the entire cabin forward which creates much more space in the interior. For a compact car, the sedan has lots of legroom in the back. The unique two tier dashboard is really convenient for drivers today who are increasingly distracted by phones, children, other motorists etc. It has all the information you need most on top, right in your line of vision and secondary information on a lower tier. As far as safety, it comes standard with side curtain airbags as well as the front and front side airbags on all trim levels. Civics competitors don't offer that. It rated 5 stars in crash tests. So overall its a great car especially as a second vehicle for a family or a first car for a teenager or young adult w/o kids.
