I was wondering if the the B16a1 engine w/ auto transmission would fit into a 1997 Civic EX D16y8 Coupe, and if I could use the same automatic shifter. Also would the B16a1 fit into civics bay without changing the motor mounts, a/c, and power steering. Thank You

Short answer is no, but anything is possible with enough money. I suggest doing a manual swap. Its not worth it to spend all that money on a swap and still have an auto. That motor has little torque and it doesn't help that it will have long gear ratios and only four gears.
