is there anyway i can disable the transponder key function on my 01 civic? i lost my keys twice and it cost a bundle to replace it at the dealership.

I'm sorry to tell you thi ,but there is no way that I'm aware of.It is part of the pcm/ecm

no can't do . if you lose all your keys , you gonna have to get it started at a honda dealer.
