Default What engine is compatible with a 95 Honda Prelude Si.?

I have a 1995 Honda Prelude Si. The timing belt broke and in the process, bent a few valves on the engine. I need a new engine. Is there anything that would be compatible and save me some $$$. Thanks

The Si carries the H23A, which is quite decent. It would be easiest to replace the engine your car came with. The base motor for the 92-96 Ludes was the F22A, which only has SOHC instead of DOHC and considerably less power. Even though these engines are very similar, they may be sold with different transmissions that are not interchangeable, or the belt driven systems might be in different places, causing problems powering the A/C, alternator, power steering etc., and you'll need additional equipment like a new wiring harness for the motor. In summation, keep it simple, stock.

Honda motors are like legoes, many parts are interchangable, you could probably get you hands on a used b-series very cheaply.
