I am getting a 2007 honda fit sport and one of the specifications is; Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters (5AT only). What does this mean, I don't have a clue?

They are little levers on either side of the steering wheel that shift the car into a lower or higher gear. It's kind of like a manual transmission but without the clutch pedal. On some cars you can choose to use them or just put the car in drive and let the transmission shift like normal...not sure how the Honda works."5AT only" just means the paddles are only available with the 5 speed automatic transmission.

Its like shifting a manual without the clutch. and the shifters are like paddles behind the steering wheel. Read the manual and it will let you know how to do it.

You can shift by gripping a paddle on the steering wheel. They're sweet Ferrari now uses them on their new cars!
