A B16A is for me the best engine and the fuel consumption is acceptable but if you want some more muscle get the B18. Is your 92 Honda Civic LX a hatchback? I have a 93 Civic EG Hatch with a stock PH12 engine and for me it runs well. A bit underpowered but I consume 11kms/liter citydriving and 14 to 15kms/liter in the highway. There are also B15E for economy. Determine first what suites you well and go for it. good luck.

you can put in a 90 to i think 94 or maybe 95 integra b18 ls swap in your car. since your car is Obd1 and these integras are also. you will need mounts and axels and of course the ls ecu and tranny to have a complete swap. seen it done many of times
