It first came on about 6 weeks ago. Autozoneread error code P1259 "Immobilizer to PCM signal error." The guy suggested this would be just a loose wire to the computer and turned the light off. I found some fluids low and replaced them (oil, coolant)I drove another 6 weeks before the light came back on. My driving is mostly short neighborhood trips and the light came on during the first long freeway trip.What's up?

That code p1259 is set by the pcm when there is a failure during a v-tech event. The most common problem is the enginge oil being low. But it could be a fault in the v-tech solenoid, and or harness going to the v-tech solenoid. Inspect all the wiring under the hood make sure the oil level is full and if all looks good you can start to suspect the v-tech pressure switch.If you have oil leaking from the engine you should get it repaired asap

i own a repair shop,and it will do this if the oil gets low or it may have a bad sensor on it,,it will also do this sometimes if the oil is real dirty in it and needs changed ,all it is telling you is that the oil is not going through the engine fast enough,and dirty oil will cause that,,you can change the oil,and if that don't do it,, id replace the sensor on it i have repaired a few of them that do this,there easy to replace,good luck i hope this help,s

I have only had my car for a couple of days i had my muffler worked on then next thing u know today when i get in to go to ork my check engine light is on and know im freaken out! I just bought the car does anyone have any clue what this maybe from?
