Default how can I disable the audible seat-belt alarm on my 2004 Honda Civic LX.?

The owners manual of course does not discuss this topic, nor is a particular fuse mentioned in it relating to seat belts. I always wear a seat belt but at times the chime is annoying. I'm fine with the red light warning.

You cannot pull the chime it is integrated into the multiplex unit which controls many other items in the car. You could short the wires under the seat going to the latch, but this is a bad idea as the chime is required by Federal safety standards. Also if someone else got in the car after you sold it or in a valet service situation and was in an accident you may be liable. Best to just put you belt on before you start the car, then the chime won’t ever bother you.
