You can drive it off a cliff and go buy a 'sports-car' platform to 'build-up'. Honda Accords are built for families and economy. They arent intended for Racing. Unless you can fabricate a fiberglass body and reinforce it with a 17-point rollcage and add a full racing-spec motor that makes 300bhp @ 5500rpm. You'll end up spending a few thousand dollars on cheap bolt-on mods and tuning, and wind up with a 10 year old family sedan that looks like it has a bunch of cheap bolt on mods added to it, and youll maybe get 40 or 50 extra horsepower, if youre lucky.

Start with the tires and proceed upwards.

The Accord is a fine platform to build a street car on.I would suggest starting with a good suspension (coilovers, strut bars, etc) brakes, and then rims and tires. After that I would suggest saving up money and then doing an engine swap. An H22 from a Prelude will fit in your Accord without to many problems. You will need new motor mounts thats for sure, but over all it should fit in there quite easily. Then just go from there...add on some bolt on power....or maybe some forced or chemical induction. Good luck with your Accord.

You shuld start with suspension and then work on teh engine, i would go the boost route, ai m building a kit myself, get a tubro on or u can go with the h22a route, u prob habe a f22b2 engine, they are on of the stringest engine built by honfs, very good for turbo, it al depends on how much money you have try some times like honda-tech.com fore more ideas
