Is 2006 Subaru Impreza 1.6 better or 2006 Honda Civic 1.6?

personally I would go for the Subaru, but it depends on your needs & wants.

First of all you are talking two different engineering methods for each car and the subaru does not make an 2006 1.6, it is a 2.5L. The subaru is horizontally opposed 4 while the honda is an inline 4. The honda also is not a 1.6 it is a 1.8L. They are both very good engines but performance wise, I think the subaru has a better engine, very strong and a lot more torque.To answer your question, neither is better, because those engines did not exist in the 06 cars.

Subaru WRX is the better . with a slight modification , impreza will look like 1 WRX STI !

Consumer Reports rates the Civic MUCH higher than the Subaru. The Civic racked up the awards in 2006, and its resale is always very very high. Overall, CR gave the Civic higher marks for reliability and owner satisfaction. Edmunds marked it as a most-wanted and picked it as tops in its class.

honda, definately the honda, they are good reliable cars, they aren't very likely to need replacement parts, and they maintain value like crazy

i prefare subaru because i have one and tested for years,more balance on roads and turns because it's central wieght of gravity inj the middle of the car which oferred by shape of boxer enginge and stronger body and its better if its AWD for more safety on all roads and all climate conditions

2006 subaru's are not 1.6L they are 2.5L. 2006 civic are not 1.6 either. they're either 1.8L or 2.0L and you can't compare both cars because its how you're going to be using them them that makes the difference.
