I like the Sonata better in looks but reliabilty is on the Honda's side. Performance/Handling I have no idea. Safety is excellent 5/5 stars in Accords for many many years but Sonata is only about 4/5 stars.

Well of course hands down in the areas of durability and performance. Apperance is in the eye of the beholder. I would say they handle the same, they have similiar types of suspension.

I feel that Honda accord 2 Ltr is at par, if not better than the Hyundai Sonata. Although I do feel that Honda Accord Is much more durable, handles better and has a much more stable performance than its korean counterpart. although the Sonata Appears to be much more stylish than the Accord. Futhermore, I Would Like To Add That I Can Compare These Cars, Cause I Own Both Of Them, The 2005 Accord & The 2006 Sonata.

They are both good cars....but one's a Gucci, and the other is a Coach.....take your pick !! Your car tells people what kind of person you are...don't forget.
