It is really a question of apperance. Both of the vehicle handle similiarly, and the drivetrains are very durable. Both are Japanese engineered so there is no major difference.

Appearance is an opinion.... i prefer the Toyota camry in that department, Performance.....is similar...but generally speaking Honda is one of the best when it comes to Naturally Aspirated 4 cylinders, Toyota is pretty good also, Durability is yet to be seen with these NEW cars ... But given both companies' track records BOTH cars are excellent, Handling i would give to Honda, Honda tends to focus more on performance a little more than others on non performance type cars. Resale Value (short term) is definitly with the newer car (It's Newer)... Later down the road that may change based on supply and demand.

The 06 Camry is a 2.4 liter w/ about 160hp The 03 Accord is a 2.4 liter w/ about 160hpThe 06 Camry is the last model year before an extensive redesign and the 03 Accord looks a lot more like a brand new one. The Accord looks better in my opinion. The Accord easily handles better and feels a lot sportier. Probably also a little faster as the VTEC make the motor a little more flexible. In particular, the Camry has really numb steering and is not fond of being tossed around the corners and what not. The Camry is probably a better highway cruiser, and may well get slightly better mileage.Resale and Durability are a toss up. Both are very good. Older Honda's were more maintenance intensive (timing belts and brakes). If the 03 Accord has 60-90k on it, she will likely need some costly maintenance). In pretty much every comparison test I have read, the Accord has won.

Toyota Camry ALL the way. my parents have the '05 Camry and my oldest bro has the '04 Accord. he has had a few problems with it and my parents havent had a single problem. my parents '05 Camry had the 2.0 in it and it smokes the Honda AND it does better on gas and its a smoother and quieter ride. i also personaly think the Camry looks better. im a loyal Toyota fan. my parents had a 1980 Corolla that had 425k on the ORIGINAL engine before it died. i have NEVER seen a honda with that kinda miles.
