I'm looking at buying this 1996 Prelude for $800 dollars. There is no engine and no transmission. I want to go to a junk yard and buy a used engine probably a 2.4L for it. That may run fro $200-$450. But I want some advice on building up the engine and transmission. What kinds of parts will I need.

you're gonna want to get an h22 (2.2l)for that baby good luck finding 1 for 200$ as far a building it up it depends what you want ie turbo, nos, n/a or just built to stock specs

I agree go with the h22, the JDM h22 is a 2.2L 4cyl. with about 200hp and they make alot of upgrades the this motor. you can get them from Japan with about 40,000 miles but expect to spend about $5000 for the engine and trans+shipping. there are some co. out of canada that get them all the time. check out Ebay
