You should go k20a2 b16 and b18 are too old school k20 is the next gen of swap. i have a gsr swap in my eg and was planning on turbo but after watching those k20 hatches on youtube I want to get rid of my b18.

Dont listen to the guy above.Even though the K20 is an awesome engine it's gonna be way to expensive. With all the experience I have had around Honda's...I wouldnt recommend turbocharging a B16A2...unless you are planning to the build the internals to take the boost. Honda engines arent very fond of boost unless they are properly built. As for the the LS engine...I wouldnt recommend it either...unless you plan on building the internals.Go all motor B16....Turbos are for pussies.

The only engines you should turbo are any d-series y8 or zc, ls, and gsr. They are strong platforms for turbos and will run a long time at low boost over other engines. The b16 head is good for turbos, but not so much with the block. B16 heads can take a beating on power. If you want to turbo your car. Put the b16 head on the ls block. The ls/vtec is a really strong engine on its own, and handles boost wonderfully. But if you want to run any boost over 8psi, upgrade the internals.

actualy single cams are better for boosting because of the low compression, like a D16y8 has ideal compression for boosting and will stomp B16s if done right

it's about what your looking to do, the b16a2 will be very fast but if you buy the ls motor you can always buy the vtec head for it later on and the ls motor is alot cheaper but if you have the money go with the b16 for sure

from the nature of the question 300hp honda might be i big leap instead of baby steps you could use. try and build an all engine b18c and that should be enough power for you and you don't get confused with all the tuning that comes with the turbo. start slow. the nature of the question is loaded. if you have to ask than you are not ready for a turbo. save your nickles and dimes and put them in your tank. you could use the gas.b18c will never be old school as long as a 302 or a 350 are old school. they need to be ancient first!
