Default My 94 Accord won't shift into D4...the selector light for D4 blinks and sometimes the R light stays

lit steady This just started happening. the car will not shift into 4th gear and the indicator light for D4 flashes continuously, Not matter if the engine running or not when the key is in "on" position. Sometimes the R lights glows steady and the other infidator lights for transmission glow a dim amber as well

What you have there is a broken car. Take it to a Honda mechanic and have him turn a wrench on it.

If the D4 indicator is flashing, that could be a sign of a failing transmission. Your car needs to be checked out by a mechanic ASAP.

I have heard this before on the Honda Tuneing board. His fix was a 35.00 Transmission relay located on the rear of the trans. May not be your problem but it could be. either way a mechanic would have to tell you. Good Luck

Well, lemme tell ya something the fact that your trans will not shift into the d4 means your tranny has lost that gear, which means drive it in d3 instead untill you get it fixed but be aware that tranny work for the hondas is a mof***kin bad experience because of the simple fact that the honda accord is a front wheel drive vehicle which makes it somewhat more difficult to do tranny work...the d4 light blinkin could be the speed sensor....anyway i recomend that you try to get it fixed asap because if you lost one gear, the others will go to...oh and a word of advice for the future ...stop neutral droppin...you see its no good for the trans,oh one more piece of advice even tho the work for the tranny is usually gonna start at $60.00 an hour and thats at a local shop up here in new york i dont know where you at but its prolly gonna take somewhere around 8-11 hrs for a garage to complete the work, the work is worth gettin done if your accord doesnt have any other major issues, such as engine pinging or rods knockin etc. i think the kelley blue book value on a 94 accord with in good condition is like $2,700 anyway need any more help hit me uppeacetomisthatnigga@yahoo.comdat import nigga
