a civic is a smaller car than an accord - and the accord is usually alittle more on the luxury side. The accord will be more expensive, but both are extremely reliable cars.if this is your first car, the civic is perfectly suitable.if you have one or 2 kids, the civic is still good, the accord is a little bigger.both are good on gas.your call

I have owned both and liked them both. The civic can get about 40 mpg--I had a 5 speed. The accord 4 cylinder automatic--got about 26-mostly city. The accord has more room in the trunk.Personally I preferred the civic, I got stuck in the mud one time-a few 2x4's and a little strength got it out--and I am a girl...

Size ,mostly. The Honda Accord is more deluxe model than the smaller Civic. Both are very good cars . Good mileage ,too.

The civic is relativly small, lacks trunkspace, lacks engin power unless you get the SI civic you get alittle more power. Price ranges from $13,000-$20,000 give or take. The hybred model is around $25,000. The Accord is a good sized car adiquet trunk space You can get either a 4 banger or a V6 it comes in both manual and automatic transmission Prices range from $17,000-$27,000 give or take and the hybred model is around $30.000. In my honest opinion I'd go with the Accord EX V6 5 speed man or auto with leather and every bell and whisle for around $27,000.

The Civic is a smaller car. The Accord is a larger car. Cars come in levels, sort of. The Accord is the top of the line for Honda and the Civic is the second highest. Civics are less pricey but still a great car. Accords are a more expensive, larger interior, more "button" and options. Both cars are great on gas. Try going to honda.com and they'll list all the options and spell things out a lot better than I can.

the accord is more powerful due to a larger engin-new v6 accords are putting out approx. 240 hp.also are more expensive and generally marketed as a "return honda owners" item-in otherwords not considered as a first timer's car. accords are larger and smoother, also quieter-more luxury.the Civics are smaller, less expensive(if you consider 20k+ inexpensive). accords run 25-40k- the civic lx engine output is approx.140hp,and the si model(civic) is at almost 200hp! good for it's size. I would reccomend as a first car the civic, for price and reliability factors.note that they do have p/s pump issues which are warranteed happily-honda is very good abouttheir warranty-you can practically dynamite them and they will still warranty repairs as long as they cannot see any owner/user caused damages.and they also sell an extended warranty called HONDACARE,which will cover you bumper to bumper for 7 years/100,000 miles-relatively cheap, too. I worked in a service dept. as a tech for 3 years-we loved for waranty cars to come in as they were a guaranteed sale.also they will look for warranty repairs to perform everytime it goes to service for maintenance...(even for just an oil change) so it's worth the extra money for honda to service the car. plus they won't screw it up when they work on it....good luck,I hope I have given you a fair overview of the products-by the way my 86 civic si has 400,000 miles and still runs perfectlt due to past maintenance being kept up!!!!
