Your Civic should have four hamsters working for you but with only four, when one decides to take a breather the rest aren't strong enough to give you the power you once had.To keep the hamsters running in top form you must ensure the following:1. Air - like all living things, hampsters breath so you will have to ensure they have an ample supply of air if you want them to perform for you.2. Food - Just like air, if they aren't fed just right they aren't going to have the energy to turn your wheels very well.3. Waste - With all that food and air, they should start working up a sweat but they will have to expell some waste... be sure they can do so whenever they want and they will be much happier and work harder for you.4. Environment - Happy hamsters work harder for you so be sure they are kept clean and the temperature is kept just right.Remember, VTEC uses the same hamsters... it just alters the rate of air and food to them. People were abusing their hampsters too much in older Hondas so the engineers put in a computer to handle all the needs of the hampsters... be sure all the inputs to the computer are correct and that the computer shows no error codes and it should be providing for the hampsters just fine.Good luck. Oh... even though the car is from Japan... hampsters don't eat rice.
