Question is directed to CIVIC and ACCORD owners...I was told that the transmission can be jerky from 1st to 3rd gear...just taking a survey---true?year 96-2000 -----forgot

My girlfriends Accord isn't jerky at allShe has a 2001 Accord 4Cyl.My sister has a 2 year old Civic, 1.8 and no jerky there either.

1998 Honda Accord 4-cyl, 90k. Transmission was jerky, then no jerk, no change gears. No transmission. Had to get it rebuilt, only took the idiots three weeks!

On a Civic auto trans, you can not go from first to third. It will go from first to second then from second to third.
